I note that Personal Computing World has quoted Cable and Wireless Watch as the authority on CWC's (currently non-existent) cable modem service!

This is immensely flattering - and also worrying. I'd like to have been a fly on the wall when the decision to bookmark this site was taken.

My concern is that I am being taken as an authority when I don't have the authority to be one. And, if I were irresponsible, I could say things like 'Cable modems growing on trees in January. £1.99/lb; pick your own' and leave CWC to fend off the blows when the harvest failed ...

Of course, that PCW came to me is a pretty poor show on CWC's part; I've asked CWC to issue a statement so that we know where we are and nobody has to rely on a page that is 'against CWC' for information CWC should be providing.

Those caveats aside, I hope anyone visiting via PCW finds much of interest here. And please visit the parent site:
