Like your other respondents I took the Videotron phone line solely to use the connection with the Internet. I have a BT line for other family calls which would conflict with my use of the Net at weekends and evenings. I will certainly cancel my phone line if the firm permanent arrangement I made with Videotron is not honoured. I also took a satellite TV package from Videotron at the same time, and will cancel that too, as Sky are constantly entreating me to return to them.

I find it quite unethical of a company to renege on an agreement made with them in good faith. I would not object to paying a small fixed monthly fee.

However, to prove that I am not as intransigent or as unreasonable as CWC appears to be, I might also be willing to replace my other line with a CWC line if given back my free local calls.
